Matthew J. Cannon, shareholder, Greenberg Traurig

Matthew J. Cannon has joined the Chicago office of Greenberg Traurig LLP as a shareholder in its Litigation Practice. 

Before joining the firm, Cannon was a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Central District of Illinois.  In his seven years there, he was supervisory assistant U.S. attorney for the district headquarters office and lead prosecutor for the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program Working Group. 

He also handled a variety of prosecutions and investigations in the areas of procurement fraud, wire and mail fraud, money laundering, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, ITAR, Clean Water Act, public corruption and other white collar matters.

Cannon has a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and his B.A.  from Aurora University.
