A woman on her way to work died after her car crashed into a house in Burbank early this morning, authorities said.
Marlene Walter, 59, was headed to her manager's job at a Dunkin Donuts in Chicago when her Pontiac hit a home in the 5400 block of South State Road in Burbank, officials said.
She was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center. A woman inside the home at the time was not injured.
Burbank authorities said Walter had suffered from a medical condition that may have contributed to the accident. The Cook County medical examiner's office rescheduled an autopsy for Friday, after Walter's body did not arrive at the morgue in time today.
Walter lived in the 6000 block of Marshall Avenue in Chicago Ridge.
