Lookingglass announces 2013-14 season

Lookingglass Theatre Company announced its 2013-14 season on Tuesday, including world premieres set in far-flung locations and a play having to do with Charles Darwin. The Chicago company's 26th season, under artistic director Andrew White, will include:

  • "The North China Lover," adapted and directed by Heidi Stillman. A world premiere based on the novel by Marguerite Duras (opening Oct. 5; through Nov. 10).
  • "The Little Prince," directed by David Catlin. By Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (opens Dec. 14; through Feb. 2).
  • "In The Garden: A Darwinian Love Story," a world premiere written by Sara Gmitter, directed by Jessica Thebus (opens April 26; through June 15).
