With the bases loaded n the bottom of the 7th in Game 2 of the 2005 World Series, Konerko hit the first pitch off reliever Chad Qualls over the left field wall to give the Sox a 6-4 lead. It was the 18th grand slam in World Series history. The Sox went on to win the game 7-6 on Scott Podsedniks walk-off homer -- and, of course, went on to win the Series in four games. Chicago filmmaker Chris Claeys caught the ball and after declining the White Soxs efforts to get him to turn the ball over to the team, he loaned it to Harry Carays, where it is insured for $50,000 and on display at their Navy Pier location.
