James Woodard, Insurance Program president, The Sandner Group

James Woodard has been named president of the Insurance Program Managers at The Sandner Group.

Woodard, 48, will plan, develop and execute company policies and goals, focusing on client service and increased efficiency.

Woodard has spent the last decade as president of the Alternative Risk Solutions company at the group, subsidiaries of Brokers' Risk Placement Service Inc.

Before that, he was in the Army and Army Reserves as a captain in the Nurse Corps for 13 years.

He received his undergraduate degree in nursing from St. John's College of Nursing and is pursuing an MBA at Loyola University Chicago.
