A 1929 Ford Tri-Motor heads one way on a runway while an F-16 jet passes the other way at AirVenture in Oshkosh. Henry Ford designed the first Tri-Motor, also known as "The Tin Goose" after WWI, hoping to capture the next phase of mass transportation. He built the plane with three motors to overcome concerns about engine reliability.
