Dr. Thomas M. Anderson, a Chicago radiologist, has been inaugurated as the Chicago Medical Society's 163rd president.
A clinical assistant professor of diagnostic radiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Anderson has been a member of the society since 1972. He served four terms as treasurer and on various committees.
He is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine, with subspecialty certification in pediatric radiology and neuroradiology.
Anderson received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and completed his internship and residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He served his fellowship at Michael Reese and the University of Chicago Hospitals.
Other new and continuing officers at the society are: Howard Axe, president-elect; Kenneth G. Busch, secretary; Philip B. Dray, treasurer; Robert W. Panton, chairman of the council; and Katherine Tynus, vice chairman of the council.
