Dr. Li-Hsien "Lily" Rin-Laures, a partner at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP, has been elected to the firm's executive committee. Rin-Laures is the first woman partner to hold a position on the committee, and she has more than two decades of experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical intellectual property law. She is a founding member of the firm's Committee on Diversity & Inclusion and co-founded and was the first president of the Chicago Chapter of Women In Bio, a non-profit organization committed to bringing women in the life sciences industry together. She is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, has been active on the committee for the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law, and is a mentor for Menttium, a mentoring organization that supports leadership development and diversity. Rin-Laures has her J.D. from Harvard Law School and M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School. She has B.A. in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University.
