Limber up those keyboarding fingers and set your alarms. Beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, a limited number of discounted tickets will go on sale for Chicago Gourmet, the city’s annual food and wine festival.
This year’s festival, the sixth annual, will take place September 28 and 29 in Millennium Park.
Tickets, usually $159 for one-day and $265 for two-day admission (plus tax and fees), will be available for $119 and $199, respectively, representing a savings of 25 percent. Tickets are available online only, at chicagogourmet.org.
The event typically sells out, and the discounted “pre-sale” tickets disappear quickly.
Tickets for Chicago Gourmet’s Grand Cru tasting, which features high-end wines and special food stations (increased in size this year), and requires separate admission in addition to regular admission tickets, also will go on sale Thursday. The $199 tickets are not discounted, but are expected to sell very quickly.
