David Rubovits has been promoted to senior vice president of planning and allocations at the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. Rubovits, who has been vice president of planning and allocations for three years, takes on an expanded role in setting the course for and overseeing all aspects of the local and international planning and program services of the department. He also takes on an expanded role as part of the Federation's leadership team. Rubovits has more than 23 years of experience in non-profit management, program development and organizational leadership. Before coming to Chicago, he worked for 13 years in health care at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and then at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. He joined the Jewish Federation system in Chicago in 2001 at Jewish Child & Family Services and moved to the federation in 2008. Rubovits has a B.S. in psychology from the University of Illinois and an M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Houston.
