Police: Girl, 15, missing from South Side

Police are asking for the public's help locating a 15-year-old girl who went missing about a week ago from the city's South Shore neighborhood.

Diamond Jackson was last seen April 30 in the area of the 7500 block of South Coles Avenue and the 7900 block of South Kenwood Avenue, said police.

She is known to frequent the area of Avalon Park, said police.

Jackson was last seen wearing a black jacket with gold designs, a yellow Chicago Vocational High School uniform shirt, black jeans and black and gray Jordan gym shoes, said police. She was wearing her hair in a twist.

Jackson is described as a black girl with a medium complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 118 pounds, said police.
