It's been around for a while as a way to detox and improve health, but in recent years this lemons-cayenne pepper-maple syrup beverage has been used as a fast way to lose weight. <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB002839" title="Beyonce" href="/topic/entertainment/music/beyonce-PECLB002839.topic">Beyonce</a> revealed that she lost 20 pounds for her role in "Dreamgirls" using the Master Cleanse, and <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB0017764638" title="Howard Stern " href="/topic/entertainment/radio/howard-stern--PECLB0017764638.topic">Howard Stern</a>'s sidekick Robin Quivers said she lost more than 70. But whatever the health benefits, most of the weight lost on this <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="HEDI0000113" title="Diets and Dieting" href="/topic/health/nutrition/diets-dieting/HEDI0000113.topic">diet</a> is reportedly gained back once it's over, and long-term use for weight-loss purposes may do more harm than good, considering the utter lack of nutrients present in the diet.
