Millennium Park will be the local site for "All Hands on Earth Picnic," the Nature Conservancy's national effort for Earth Day. There will be sustainable food, demonstrations by chefs, including the Food Network's Hearty Boys, and a music performance by the indie folk band Blind Pilot.
Why go: It's either come to the picnic to chill, eat good food and listen to good music, or make mulch for Earth Day.
Reconsider: Picnic? Wasn't it 40 degrees last week?
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Millennium Park, Chase Promenade South, 201 E. Randolph St.; $30, $100 family ticket (admission for two adults and two children); nature.org/picnicchicago
