A man was shot twice in the South Chicago neighborhood at about 7:30 p.m. today, one of at least four shootings in Chicago since noon, police said.
The man, 24, was standing on a corner near 83rd Street and Saginaw Avenue when he heard several shots and realized he was hit, police said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition with gunshot wounds to his back and arm, police said.
Just before 6 p.m., a 38-year-old man was shot in his arm the 4700 block of South Archer Avenue in the Archer Heights neighborhood. He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
Police said he was shot following a traffic dispute, but additional details surrounding that shooting weren't immediately available.
Nobody is in custody and police are investigating both shootings.
