Ameet Sachev is a business reporter for the Chicago Tribune who writes features, in-depth stories and breaking news about the Chicago business community and economy. He has been a business reporter since graduating from college in 1993; he joined the staff of the Tribune, his hometown newspaper, in 2000. Before that he worked for the St. Petersburg Times in Florida, the Lexington Herald-Leader in Kentucky and the Poughkeepsie Journal in New York. He has journalism degrees from Northwestern University. His interests include newspapers, media diversity, Asian American Journalists Association, softball, poker, sheepshead, family, national parks, Chicago Cubs and food.
