An 18-year-old Alsip woman was killed Saturday night in Tinley Park when a car she was in went off the road and rolled over several times, police said.
The crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the 6200 block of 183rd Street, according to a statement from Tinley Park police.
There were four people other than the driver in a 2008 Pontiac G6 as it headed west on 183rd and went off the left side of the road, police said. The car rolled over several times, coming to rest in a Cook County Forest Preserve nearby and ejecting one of its occupants.
That passenger was taken to Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, where she was pronounced dead. She was identified as Megan Elan of the 12700 block of Loveland Street in Alsip, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The other people in the car were taken to local hospitals. It was not immediately known why the car went off the road.
Tinley Park police and the Suburban Major Accident Recontruction Team are investigating the crash.
