It seems that both angels and automakers, not to be confused with one another, need halos. With automakers it's a halo car, a top-of-the-line sports model that shows its design and performance capabilities. The halo car is offered as a high-priced, limited-edition number to attract folks into showrooms where they might buy any vehicle on display. Acura, the luxury division of Honda, hasn't had such a car since it last offered an NSX in 2005. The concept will become a production model within three years featuring a high-powered V-6 teamed with a lithium ion battery pack to power front wheels to make the rear-wheel drive sports car a nimble, super-handling all-wheel drive sports car. Details are still under wraps.
