Head nurse Marcia Zahakaylo of Northwest Hospital cradles a 6-pound, 6-ounce girl the day she was found abandoned in the vestibule of a house in Chicago. It was Zahakaylo's birthday, so nurses named the baby Marcia N. West in honor of the nurse and hospital.
