For TJ Jagodowski and Dave Pasquesi, it was like finding the perfect pair of jeans when found each other 11 years ago. They were comfortable with each other. They liked each other's style. And improv comedy is no easy game, especially when you're going at it for an hour, sometimes portraying multiple characters, like these guys do in their show "TJ and Dave" every Wednesday at the iO Theater. The key to improv is to follow one's partner, and never say "no." "But, yeah, we just tear each other down and say 'no' to everything," Pasquesi said. And the most important thing to prep for a show? "Staying alive," Pasquesi said. "That's important. That's where TJ and I differ." Jagodowski and Pasquesi said crowds of people ages 20 to 70 show up for laughs at iO each Wednesday. Every show is different, and the audience learns what's going to happen next, right along with the actors. "There's some fear involved, so it makes it exciting," Pasquesi said. "It's really fun to find out how this is going to go. My brain works differently in that situation than in any other part of my life." "It feels like life, but just a little bit better," Jagodowski said. "For an hour each week, you get to be laughed at, but laughed at in a good way."
