Exhibit No. 1: A walk in the park. A late-afternoon stroll around Lincoln Park's North Pond near the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum can be absolutely lovely, especially when moderate temperatures are forecast.
Exhibit No. 2: A romantic dinner for two. If you're still in the park, grab an early bite (if you can get in) at North Pond (2610 N. Cannon Drive, 773-477-5845) and enjoy Bruce Sherman's seasonal, mostly organic American fare. Or head north for classic feed at Angelina Ristorante (3651 N. Broadway, 773-935-5933), an unpretentious Italian fixture.
Exhibit No. 3: Tried-and-true theater. "Our Town" has been done a bazillion times, but not by Lookingglass Theatre (821 N. Michigan Ave., 312-337-0665; $30)—and not with David Schwimmer as George Gibbs.
