A local cancer agency announced Wednesday that they will attempt to break the world record for the largest Zumba class this summer.

The Little Red Door Cancer Agency, the City of Indianapolis and Kroger announced the agency’s attempt to break the record at their annual summer festival, Big Red Bash, on Saturday, July 14.

On Wednesday, officials encouraged people to join the movement and had Zumba enthusiasts show off some of their best moves.  Zumba is a dance fitness program inspired by Latin music.

Big Red Bash, sponsored by Kroger, is a free event to the community.  The event aims to educate people on ways cancer can be prevented through an active and healthy lifestyle.

The event will be held at Military Park, just south of IUPUI, in downtown Indianapolis.
