Krispy Kreme will not re-open its Roanoke store following an electrical fire last week.
The Melrose Avenue store had been in Roanoke for more than 50 years.
In a statement sent to WDBJ7 on Monday, the company says it is looking for another location in the Roanoke area. A new location or opening date have not been determined.
Krispy Kreme says its products will still be in area convenience and grocery stores.
Around 50 employees will be affected by the store closure. Krispy Kreme says it is working to re-assign the Roanoke store employees to other stores.
The Roanoke Krispy Kreme store delivered donuts as far north as Daleville, as far south as Galax, Bluefield, West Virginia to the west, and Farmville, Virginia, to the east.
