A home is offered for sale at a Toll Brothers development in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois. The sales of new homes fell 12.4 percent in July from a month earlier to a seasonally adjusted annual sales pace of 276,600, the slowest pace since 1963 when the Commerce Department began recording the data.
