PETOSKEY — The Law Offices of Daniel J. Harris, which has a location in Petoskey, recently announced the addition of a Gaylord office as well as two new staff members.
The firm can assist clients with legal matters such as workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, divorce, personal injury and criminal defense.
Attorney Kyle T. Legel, a new addition to the firm, will be based at the Gaylord office. Legel received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. After completing law school, Legel moved to Gaylord in 1999, where he initially worked in private practice. Legel was then elected as Otsego County’s prosecutor in 2004, and re-elected in 2008. He recently resigned from the prosecutor’s position, effective at the end of March.
Also new to the Harris firm is Lesley Kozminski, who took a position as office manager and legal assistant to attorney Harris in February.
Kozminski received an associate’s degree with an emphasis in legal studies from Davenport University in 1992, and a bachelor’s in management and organizational development from Spring Arbor University in 2011. Kozminski grew up in Northern Michigan, relocated to the Grand Rapids area in 1988, and spent 16 years working in the legal field. She returned with her family to Northern Michigan in 2006. Kozminski will oversee office operations at both the Petoskey and Gaylord locations.
