A tugboat and its barge float with the tide in the Connecticut River off Haddam. The barge, which was carrying a new transformer to the Connecticut Yankee nuclear power plant in Haddam Neck, was forced to wait more than a day before continuing to the power plant because the tug was too large to be piloted up the plant's discharge canal. Plant officials said they expected the barge to be pushed by two smaller tugs.
