New England Commencement Speakers 2012
While students actively search for job opportunities and prepare to part with the schools they call home, colleges and universities in New England are preparing for commencement ceremonies both large and small. Though some schools have selected local, notable individuals to deliver their keynote addresses, other students are hopeful that high profile television journalists like Barbara Walters and actresses such as Jane Lynch will find fitting words to help mark this milestone.

Robert Gallo
Waterbury native Dr. Robert C. Gallo contributed to the discovery of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and its role in AIDS. Now director of the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, he will speak May 5 at the UConn graduate studies commencement ceremony. |
