Hartford Courant Publisher Nancy Meyer on Thursday named new leaders for advertising and digital content.
Mary Lou Stoneburner, senior advertising director, was promoted to vice president for advertising.
Christine Taylor was named digital platform manager, a position she has held in an acting capacity since March.
In her career at The Courant, Stoneburner has been a local retail account executive, retail sales manager, outside classified sales manager, assistant classified director, classified director, and senior advertising director.
"Mary Lou has a demonstrated ability to provide strategic vision, build integrated sales teams, implement new products, and manage successful business operations for print, online and multi-media initiatives to drive revenue and profitability for the Hartford Courant publishing division," Meyer said in a written statement.
Taylor, who joined The Courant in 2004, originally worked on entertainment news in the features department and for Tribune's Metromix. "In 2011, Chrissy moved to news where she became a central player in the development and growth of courant.com and ctnow.com as well as a leader in the continuing integration of digital thinking into daily decision making and news gathering," Meyer said.
As acting digital platform manager, Meyer said, Taylor "has spearheaded the launch of foxct.com, the redesign of courant.com and the creation of an integrated entertainment brand under the CTNOW umbrella."
Also on Thursday, Meyer announced the pending departure of CT1 Media Director of Human Resources Hillary Patz, who is leaving Dec. 19 to become director of project talent management for Tribune Broadcasting.
