Editor's note: The Spotlight features recent accomplishments and professional moves in South Florida.

Who: Jackie Reeves, 46, Boca Raton.

Job: Managing director, Bell Rock Capital LLC, Delray Beach.

Start date: April 2006. Before that, Reeves was managing director at Ryan Beck & Co. in Boca Raton, leading the financial institution's research efforts.

Awards/honors: Most recently recognized by the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce as the DIAMOND Award recipient at a luncheon Feb. 22 at the Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton.

Why: The DIAMOND Award — which stands for Dedicated, Inspiring, Accomplished, Motivated, Outstanding, Noble and Driven — honors a woman who has achieved success in her field and makes a difference in the Boca Raton community, and is presented to a woman who inspires others to maintain the quality of life in Boca Raton.

How will this recognition boost your career? "The increased exposure is generating a call to action for more individuals and business owners to learn how we can spearhead 401k advisory services for their companies or customize their portfolio of assets in Separately Managed Accounts. Our client holdings are transparent, and we are conflict-free."

How do you give back to the community? "I am a board member of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce as well as an ambassador, president of the Junior League of Boca Raton and past president and member of the JLBR Endowment Board. I serve on the Professional Advisory Committee at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, volunteer with the George Snow Scholarship Foundation and Boca Helping Hands."

Education: Bachelor of science with a major in finance and economics, Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pa.

Top new goal for this year: Grow 401k Advisor business to $1B in assets under management.

Industry wisdom: "Research is at the core of my value added. To me, research is pure; it is my own and it contributes to the team. It provides the guidepost for entry and exit points throughout client portfolios, as well as investments that should be avoided."

On the side: Hobbies include running, reading, yoga and rollerblading.
