Gretchen Crosby Sims has been promoted to vice president of programs at The Joyce Foundation, a Chicago-based philanthropic organization.<br>

She will work on strategy development and implementation of foundation programs.<br>

Sims has served as director of strategic initiatives and education program manager for the foundation, which she joined in 2003. Before that, she was domestic policy adviser for education and family issues to presidential candidate <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEHST000265" title="Bill Bradley" href="/topic/arts-culture/bill-bradley-PEHST000265.topic">Bill Bradley</a>.<br>
