Karen Kawashima, an attorney at Grady Pilgrim Christakis Bell LLP, has been appointed vice chair of the Consumer Credit Committee of the Chicago Bar Association for 2010-2011.<br>

In that role, Kawashima will keep association members informed about the laws, regulations and court decisions affecting consumer financial services and further public awareness on the topic.<br>

Kawashima joined Grady Pilgrim in 2009, representing mainly banks, finance companies and other lending institutions.<br>

Kawashima received a B.A. from the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000166262" title="University of Notre Dame" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/university-of-notre-dame-OREDU0000166262.topic">University of Notre Dame</a> and a J.D. from <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000132" title="Northwestern University" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/northwestern-university-OREDU0000132.topic">Northwestern University</a> School of Law.
