Gary Kaatz, president and CEO of Rockford Health System, has been elected chairman of the Illinois Hospital Association’s  Board of Trustees for 2011.<br>

Active in the association since 1987, Kaatz has been a board member, serving on various committees,  since 2005 and currently is  chair-elect. Kaatz succeeds Patrick Magoon, president and CEO of Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.<br>

Kaatz’s health care career spans 40 years, most recently at Rockford Health System, Before that, Kaatz was CEO of Forum Health in Youngstown, <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100103800000000" title="Ohio" href="/topic/us/ohio-PLGEO100103800000000.topic">Ohio</a>, and a vice president at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.
