Maryland Day Celebration
Commemorate the original founding of the colony of Maryland at the Maryland Day Celebration 2012 in Anne Arundel County. The weekend-long celebration is sponsored each spring by the Four Rivers: The Heritage Area of Annapolis, London Town and South County. Visit sites not traditionally open to the public for re-enactments and special tours.Touch artifacts from past Annapolis residents, partake in ArtFest hosted by the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, and churn butter and crank ice cream at the Deale Area Historic Village.

Didn't get enough of green fun? Head over to RFK Stadium Festival Grounds for ShamrockFest 2012, featuring 50 bands and DJs, including performances by Gavin DeGraw and the Dropkick Murphys. Games, carnival rides, food vendors and beer trucks will also be on hand.

Centennial of the National Cherry Blossom Festival
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Cherry Blossom Festival at the opening ceremony on March 24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. At the event, free to the public, listen in on the story of the gift of trees and how they have developed into an annual springtime celebration. American and international artists will perform on the main stage. A host of events will follow through April 27, including the Blossom Kite Festival on March 31 from 10:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Washington Monument. A custom kite arch of 100 handmade small kites provides a gorgeous focal point, while a stunt kite flying competition and flight demonstrations by master kite-makers from across the U.S. and other countries will be featured.

Women's Wellness Weekend
Celebrate Women's History Month with health, wellness and relaxation at the ladies-only Women's Wellness Weekend at Hotel Hershey.
