Lindsey Edwards scored a game-high 18 points as No. 12 Roland Park upset No.5 Seton Keough, 71-54, in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference girls basketball game Friday.
Jaia Alexander added 14 points for the visiting Reds (2-4), and Hollie Booker and Aliyah Wilson each scored 17 points for the Gators (3-3). Roland Park led 34-25 at the half.
No. 3 Archbishop Spalding 48, Mercy 28: Jade Scaife and Torri Chestnut each scored 11 points to power the host Cavaliers (6-0) past the Magic.
Spalding's defense held Mercy to four points in the second and third quarters.
No. 10 St. Vincent Pallotti 52, Stone Ridge 25: The Panthers (5-2) took a 29-11 lead at the half and never trailed against the Gators in the opening round of the Bullis Holiday Tournament.
Lexi Nolan and Kaiya Coleman each scored nine points for Pallotti, which faces the winner of St. Mary's vs. Hill School (Pa.) in today's semifinal at 1 p.m.
No. 11 City 65, Friendship Collegiate Academy (D.C.) 48: Trana Ford had 20 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Knights over the visitors from Washington in the Coaches Against Cancer Tournament at Western.
Koraan Sydnor had 11 points, six assists and three steals, and Brionna Bea scored 13 points.
No. 13 Howard 56, Mount Hebron 51: Sydney Bibiak had 23 points and Emma Hoesman added 14 to help keep the visiting Lions undefeated at 5-0. Nia Crump scored 15 for the Vikings.
No. 9 Arundel 66, Broadneck 47: The host Bruins (2-2) hung with the Wildcats (3-0) for a quarter, then the bigs, led by Ryan Hill with a game-high 26 points, controlled the interior and helped Arundel pull away.
Arundel outscored Broadneck 20-11 in the second quarter.
No. 13 Poly 64, Woodlawn 36: The Engineers (4-1) won every quarter, never trailed and held the Warriors to six points in the third quarter in the opening round of the Spark in the Park at Forest Park.
Darrion Stokes-Graham and John Crosby each scored 14 points, and Will Wyche added 13 for Poly.
No. 11 Lake Clifton 44, Mervo 34: Stephon Brown and Derek Winder led all scorers with 12 points apiece as the Lakers (2-1) defeated the host Mustangs in Baltimore City League play. Lake Clifton had only eight field goals and shot 24-for-40 from the free-throw line.
Dulaney 81, Loch Raven 79, 2OT: Davan Scalan scored 29 points in Baltimore County action as the Lions beat the Raiders in double overtime.
No. 3 River Hill 59, Severna Park 21: The Hawks (5-0) started out strong, winning the first two matches by forfeit and collecting six pins on the way to beating the Falcons.
