The host Greyhounds (11-3) led 7-5 at halftime and held the Admirals (15-6) to five goals in the second half.
The teams will meet again at Gilman in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association AConference quarterfinals Friday at 4 p.m.
No. 1 Calvert Hall 16, St. Paul's 3: Patrick Kelly scored four goals and Ryan Brown had one goal and four assists to power the visiting Cardinals (14-2) past the Crusaders in the regular-season finale.
Top seed Calvert Hall gets a first-round bye and awaits the winner of Gilman's game with Severn in Friday's quarterfinal. No. 2 Loyola also got a bye and awaits the winner of No. 5 McDonogh's game at No. 4 Boys' Latin in the other quarterfinal.
No. 1 McDonogh 26, No. 13 Severn 11: The host Eagles (16-0) won a shootout that featured 37 goals scored by the two teams. Megan Whittle scored five goals and Sam Burgess and Mallory Schonk each scored four to pace 13 McDonogh scorers.
The Eagles host No. 6 Notre Dame Prep, a 15-14 winner over No. 10 Roland Park, in Thursday's semfiinal at 4 p.m.
No. 2 Bryn Mawr 13, John Carroll 4: Nancy Dunbar scored four goals to power the host Mawrtians (16-1) past the Patriots in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference quarterfinal.
No. 5 Maryvale 13, No. 11 St. Paul's 10: The Gators (8-9) hit the pipe several times in the first half and kept things close, but the host Lions (12-3) picked up their offense and kept a two- to three-goal lead for the rest of the game.
Taylor Oliver and Miranda Ibello each had hat tricks for Maryvale, which faces host Bry Mawr in Thursday's semifinal at 4p.m.
No. 6 Notre Dame Prep 16, No 10. Roland Park 15: The host Blazers (10-8) took a 10-6 halftime advantage and held on to push past the Reds (10-8).
Audrey Todd led all players with six goals and three assists in the loss.
No. 2 Calvert Hall 13, McDonogh 4: Manny Rodriquez went 3-for-4, and the host Cardinals (26-4) had six runs in the fifth inning in a win over the Eagles.
No. 14 Harford Tech 11, C. Milton Wright 1: Travis Hash went five inings, gave up one hit on four hits for the win and had the only extra-base hit, a triple, for the host Cobras (16-3).
Severn 13, St. Francis 11: David Jaklitsch hit the game-winning double in the botton of the sixth inning to send the host Admirals to the MIAA playoffs on a five-game win streak.
Annapolis Area Christian School 12, Chapelgate Christian Academy 6: Shelby Hall (3-for-4) missed going for the cycle by a home run, and the host Eagles (10-6) beat the Yellow Jackets in an IAAM B Conference quarterfinal.
