Tuesday forecast: Cloudy, patchy fog, showers, high near 79

The National Weather Service is calling for Tuesday to be cloudy in the Baltimore area, with patchy fog and a chance of showers and thunderstorms, a high near 79 and east winds around 5 miles per hour or less. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect Tuesday morning along the upper tidal Potomac River and the western shore of the Maryland Chesapeake Bay, from Anne Arundel County northward.

Tuesday night is expected to be cloudy, with a low around 67 and light southeast winds. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation.

Wednesday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 80 and winds becoming southerly between 5 and 8 miles per hour. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation.

Wednesday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 64 and south winds between 3 and 5 miles per hour. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation.
