All northbound traffic lanes and the northbound left shoulder on Interstate 95 in Baltimore City have been closed at the Dundalk Avenue exit due to a single vehicle crash at 11:16 a.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
Only the northbound right shoulder remains opened due to the accident, which was among more than a dozen reported incidents during a Monday commute hampered by a blast of wintry weather.
In Elkridge, all roads have been reopened on I-95 South with the clearing of a crash at MD 100 that had closed three of four southbound traffic lanes and the southbound shoulder for about an hour after DOT first reported the incident at 11:23 a.m.
The Maryland Transit Administration said that all MARC train and commuter bus service has been canceled on Monday. MTA reported minor delays with local bus, light rail and mobility vehicle service at 12:37 p.m. Only the metro subway was running on time, MTA said.
The Maryland State Highway Administration said it and MTA had a combined 2,600 pieces of equipment on the roads salting and plowing, and urged residents to stay off the roads if possible.
