A man was found fatally shot in Northeast Baltimore on Tuesday evening, the city's 70th homicide this year, police said.
The man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1200 block of Walters Avenue in the Woodbourne Heights neighborhood about 5:30 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. More information about the incident and the man's identity was not immediately available.
In a separate incident, a man was shot in the arm in the 400 block of Furrow Street in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood about 2 p.m., police said. He is expected to survive.
There were 62 homicides in Baltimore at this date last year. Police say nonfatal shootings are down slightly, at 99 this year to 104 at the same date last year.
