Two people are facing attempted second-degree murder charges stemming from two unrelated stabbings on Monday, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Police said a man looking for his roommate to drive him home from work Monday became "enraged" to find the roommate at a Crownsville apartment and, after threatening to stab him, threw a hunting knife at him twice, missing both times. Police arrived around 5:45 p.m. and said the victim, 40, had a small cut. Charged was Jeremy Earl Johnson, 38, of the 1500 block of Crownsville Road, police said.
Police were also called to a home in the 200 block of Minta Court in Linthicum around 10:20 p.m. Monday, where a 35-year-old man said he was stabbed. Police said a dispute had broken out in the man's home, where a 25-year-old woman allegedly assaulted another woman, 26. The man tried to intervene and was stabbed in the upper torso by the other woman, police allege. The man was treated at the Shock Trauma Center and a woman, Amanda Frances Smallwood, 25, of the 800 block of Danza Road, Severn, was charged, police said.
