Assailant hit man with car in dispute over woman, police say

A Prince George's County man has been charged with attempted murder after Anne Arundel police said he pinned another man against a building with his car early Sunday morning.

Police were called to My Place Bar & Lounge at 1676 Annapolis Road in Odenton at 2:19 a.m., where they found a man lying on the ground outside the bar.

The victim had been involved in an ongoing dispute with another man over a woman, and the two got into a fight in the bar's parking lot, police said.

The suspect hit the victim with his car and pinned him against the building. The victim was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where police said he was in critical condition but stable.

Officers found Kwesi Duson Cozier, 25, of the 400 block of Pritchard Lane in Upper Marlboro, at Prince George's Hospital Center, where he was being treated for injuries he sustained during the fight. Police arrested him at the hospital and charged him with attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
