Anne Arundel County police on Monday evening arrested two Pasadena men on drug charges after seizing more than three pounds of marijuana and other marijuana items from their residence, said police officials on Tuesday morning in a prepared statement.
Officials said that at approximately 5:10 p.m., members of the Eastern District's tactical patrol unit and tactical narcotics team executed a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) warrant at the 1200 block of Hillside Road in Pasadena. Upon arriving at the residence, police found 3.6 pounds of marijuana, 14 marijuana plants and 58 capsules containing marijuana, officials said. Police also found 6.9 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. All of the substances had a street value of more than $39,000, police said.
Police also seized from the residence a 12-gauge, illegally altered shotgun, officials said.
Police say they've charged Mario Richard Caropreso, 58, and Michael Vincent Caropreso, 25, with numerous charges, including possession of marijuana, possession to distribute CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
