Summer and Greg Fiala

The two met in 2005 while attending a Maryland Recreation and Parks Association conference in Ocean City as representatives of Howard County. When Summer's car got a flat tire, Greg stepped in to assist. "He saved the day, as I had no clue how to change a flat tire," Summer recalls. "He actually offered to ride home with me in case I had any more trouble with the tire. Of course I took him up on his offer!" Four years later, they celebrated their wedding Oct. 17, 2009. Summer now serves as director of the Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Glenwood.
