Even though the Democrat side had more than the Republican side, "none of the above" was most apt, and this is exactly what is wrong with our current government.
Politicians want you to believe that everything is black and white and that you have to choose one or the other. I am a Democrat only because independents do not get to vote in Maryland primaries.
I have voted for the former governor every time he has run because he somehow convinced me he was more in the middle than his test choices.
I loved Ronald Reagan from his "Bedtime for Bonzo" and "Death Valley Days" movie career and voted for him the first time around. Once he became president, though, I found him remote and disconnected.
I always felt Mr. Reagan was a puppet figurehead that the Republicans used to conquer the White House and that conservatives were constantly whispering his lines into his ears. I failed to see the great Republican icon that they loved to make him.
I never bought into "trickle down" economics even though I understand the concept. Basically, it says the rich get richer now, and the poor get richer never.
