Historians will recognize Bush's strengths

I congratulate The Sun for grabbing the opportunity of the dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Library to criticize former President Bush yet again ("Misoverestimating Bush," April 28).

Even though the new administration and its biased minions in the press have maligned the former president unmercifully, Mr. Bush has continued to display his strength of character in remaining silent and not commenting on his successor's decisions.

History will be the judge of the present and former administrations.
