Aug. 26, 2012 When the Ravens announced they'd fired Billy Cundiff, people freaked out. Yes, Cundiff missed that infamous 32-yard field goal against the Patriots. But to replace a veteran like Cundiff with a rookie? Turns out, the Ravens made the right move. The now-23-year-old Tucker went 30 for 33 in the regular season (with a long of 56) and 4 for 4 in the playoffs. After brief stints with the Redskins and 49ers, Cundiff was released from both teams, and his NFL career might be kaput.
