1 quart tomatoes (I used my own canned tomatoes)
1/2 teaspoon salt (if using store tomatoes with salt added, skip the salt)
1 teaspoon minced onion
5-10 Peeps, plus additional Peeps to garnish
1-2 Tablespoons cornstarch to thicken (dissolved in cold water)
Bring the tomatoes to a boil. Add the salt (if used) and minced onion and the Peeps. Simmer covered for 15 minutes. (The peeps will dissolve.) Stir in the cornstarch and simmer 1 minute.
Serve in bowls with a Peep chick to garnish each one. Enjoy.
