Marconi's chopped salad

The Saratoga Street restaurant closed for the summer in 2005 and never reopened, but its many admirers can still tell you all about the restaurant's lamb chops, sweetbreads and hot-fudge sundae. There was something in particular about the chopped salad, which was prepared table side by tuxedo-attired waiters, that makes people miss it terribly. It wasn't just dinner at Marconi's, it was an experience.
