Chinatown: Washington, D.C.

Now you're talking. It's a living, breathing neighborhood, with plenty of Chinese restaurants, businesses and people -- there's even an arch in the middle of it, called the Friendship Arch. In the '80s and '90s, D.C.'s Chinatown was a little rough around the edges. That changed with the arrival of the Verizon Center, which helped revive the Northwest neighborhood. While it's nowhere near as big as New York's, at least D.C. has a real Chinatown.AFP/Getty Images
