George Sherrill: Sherrill was a fairly obscure middleman when he was acquired as part of the big Erik Bedard deal with the Seattle Mariners. The big guys in that deal were Adam Jones and Chris Tillman, but Sherrill was the first to pay off large, delivering a 31-save season as the Orioles' new closer in 2008 and saving 20 games before being traded to the Dodgers the following year for third baseman Josh Bell at the July 30 trade deadline.
