Severe thunderstorm warning issued

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 7:30. The storm is capable of producing 60 mph winds and quarter-sized hail. Locations include Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Johns Hopkins, Locust Point, Rosedale, Brooklyn Park, Arbutus, and Armistead Gardens.

Visibility could be reduced to 1 mile. There's also a flash flood warning for southern Baltimore County, northern Arundel and Baltimore city until 10 p.m. Additional rainfall up to 1 inch can be expected, the weather service said.

BWI is reporting delays of 30 minutes to 4 hours for more than 60 flights.

NOAA buoy at the mouth of the Patapsco has a reading of 22 mph. The weather service is also telling boaters around Bodkin Point, Baltimore Lighthouse, Magothy River and Sevenfoot Knoll to take immediate safe harbor.
