Nicaragua flooding

Torrential rain in Central America this week that forced thousands to abandon their homes and trapped many more has killed at least 45 people, authorities said on Saturday. President Daniel Ortega's government has declared a yellow alert due to heavy rains that have caused floods and landslides throughout Nicaragua.
